Lokoja Journal of Information Science Research (LJISR) cordially invites you to submit your research manuscripts – Original research, review articles and short scholarly communication under various disciplines of Library and Information Science that falls within the scope of our journal for publication in upcoming issues – Volume 3, No.1 June, 2025.
Aims and Scope
Lokoja Journal of Information Science Research (LJISR) is the peer-reviewed bi-annual Journal of Librarians, Information Managers, Information Scientists, and Library and Information Science Educators. The journal will provide a forum for the publication of high-quality articles on theory, practices, innovation and research covering Librarianship, Information Science, Data Management, Big Data, Digital Scholarship, Scholarly Communication, Digital and Information literacy, Fake News, Digital Information System, Knowledge Management and other allied areas of information studies. Original articles which should contribute something new to the body of knowledge and literature of the profession, are invited from practicing information professionals.
Author Guidelines
a. Submission of Manuscript
1. Manuscript should preferably be 3,500 – 7,500 words in length. Brief Communications of 1500 words or less are also welcomed on particularly topical issues in the field.
2. The font type for text is Times New Romans, 12pt. and the font type for title of article is Times New Romans, 14pt.
3. The first page of the manuscript must contain the following information: Title of the article Name(s) and affiliation of author(s) Complete address, including telephone and e-mail address. The second page of the manuscript should contain only the title of the article, an abstract, keywords and subsequently the text of the article.
4. The abstract should be about 150-250 words and Keywords. In addition include the following:
a. The purpose of the paper,
b. Design/methodology/approach:
c. Findings:
d. Research limitations: Data collected was on some specific trending keywords on a particular region in Nigeria.
e. Practical implications:
f. Originality and Unique contribution:
5. Main section headings in the manuscript must be capitalized and bold and sub-headings under the main headings should be bold and in upper-lower case.
6. Figures, charts and diagrams should be kept to a minimum. And integrated within the text. They should be in either of these format, MS powerpoint, tif, jif, jpeg, bmp and sized to fit within a 15cm wide page.
b. Format
1. All manuscripts should be submitted as a word document to the e-mail: [email protected]. Manuscripts should be double line spacing and 1.0 left and right margins.
2. The style of the manuscript should follow the American Psychological Association(APA), Seventh Edition.

Article Publishing Charge
Author(s) will be asked to pay an article publishing charge (APC) of thirty thousand naira (30,000) Naira or its equivalent.
Author(s) will be required to pay ten thousand naira (10,000) as Plagiarism check/Reviewers fee
