Editorial Process

Editorial Review Process: All manuscripts are reviewed initially by the Editor and only those papers that meet the editorial standards of the journal, and fit within the aims and scope of the journal, will be sent for outside review. Reviewers are asked to complete the review within four weeks. Reviewers submit their reports with a recommendation on the readiness of the paper for publication. The Editor-in-Chief reconciles the review reports and makes a decision on the status of the manuscript accordingly.

Peer Review Process: The journal adheres to a double-blind reviewing process in which the identity of both the reviewer and author are concealed from both parties. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two referees. Manuscripts may be: accepted (subject to minor or moderate revisions); declined; returned to the authors for revision (to address all reviewer comments in detail, with the possibility of resending for peer review depending on the nature of the reviewer

comments); or invited for re-submission altogether.

Publication Format: Lokoja Journal of Information Science Research (LJISR) will be printed in both print and electronic format(online)

Frequency: Lokoja Journal of Information Science Research will be published bi-annually. June and December

Open Access Policy

This journal provides gold open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Lokoja Journal of Information Science Research is an open access journal. Publishing with us means that your article will be free to access online immediately upon publication, increasing the visibility, readership and impact of your research. All works (including texts, images, graphs, tables, diagrams, photographs and statistical data) may be used for non-commercial purpose, citing appropriately the original work. The Journal is currently indexed by Google Scholar.

Plagiarism Check

All manuscripts submitted to LJISR will be subjected to plagiarism check for similarity and AI score. Only manuscripts with acceptable similarity scores will move forward in the review process.

Article Publishing Charge

Author(s) will be required to pay ten thousand naira (10,000) as Plagiarism check/Reviewers fee.

Author(s) will be asked to pay an article publishing charge (APC) of thirty thousand naira (30,000) Naira or its equivalent.

Note: Only manuscripts found to have met the journal (LJISR) editorial process and reviews will pay the APC.
